REED, David N.* PDF Print E-mail

David Reed was born in Lancashire and moved to the West Country in 1961. Originally trained as a graphic designer, he worked in advertising and printing, specialising in illustration, before pursuing his passion for painting. He enjoys fell walking in Cumbria which, with the ever changing light and scenic grandeur, provides a constant source of inspiration for his paintings. His work reflects his interest in conservation and the countryside, also in military history, particularly the Napoleonic Era.. David has had a number of solo exhibitions and his work is held in many private collections in the UK and abroad. In 1997 he was invited to join the Savages. In 2002 he became President. (D.N.R.)
