Ronald Pigott was born in Ireland on 16th September 1932. He was elected an Artist Member of the Bristol Savages in 1969. An artist in pen and ink, watercolour and oils, he was a surgeon by profession, specialising in plastic surgery. He qualified at Dublin University in 1956 and trained in plastic surgery in Ireland, England and the USA. He served in the Surgical Field Team during National Service. He also played hockey for Leicestershire, Northants, the Army Combined Services and Ireland. (R.S.B)
