We have few records of this artist. A native of Luton, he came to Bristol around 1930 when he was elected an Artist Member. He was active in the Studio from 1930 to 1936 and exhibited at our Annual Exhibition up to 1939. He presumably moved back to Luton at that date. Here he took up the post of Head of the Arts and Crafts School at Luton until retirement when he settled in Luton. However he still maintained his membership until 1965. In 1970 he paid a visit to Bristol and died here suddenly. He contributed to Grouse. We have 5 of his evening sketches and 3 of his framed works. (Cecil Broome)
