Of all our early members, this one must surely rank as the most unusual. He was French by birth. Diligent search in our records reveals little. In view of the following recorded facts, this is not surprising. He was elected in November 1904 and in October 1905 resigned owing to his inability to attend our Meetings. At the direction of the Committee, the Secretary wrote to him asking him to reconsider and change his mind. This he did, but not for long, for he resigned definitely in October 1906. With such a short term of membership and probably infrequency of attendance, it is not surprising that he left no record of his handiwork. Yet, and this is what makes him unique, on May 10th 1905 he, it was, who suggested and proposed the annual Artists` Summer Outing which has since become a red letter day for all who make the trip. Also, it might be claimed that he may have sown the seed for the introduction of Blue Feathers, for it is on record, that on one occasion he brought his son to the Wigwam where they delighted the members with a ’cello duet.
