Born in 1857. Very little information in our records about him. Elected an Artist Member in October 1907. We have 20 of his evening sketches. He must have been highly regarded as he was made a Life Member. In 1934 he wrote to say that owing to physical infirmity he was no longer able to attend. He died in 1939. A note from Hidden Talents by Jeremy Woods reads “Henry Coulton Guyatt (1857 1939) Landscape painter in oil and water colour who lived at Long Ashton, Bristol, and was a member of Bristol Savages. He was a regular exhibitor showing over 150 works 1907 to 1938. The subjects were mostly landscape views of the Westcountry, North Wales and Berkshire. He also showed 19 works at the RWA 1918 to 1934, mostly West country views”. (R. S. B.)
