| Les Matthews was elected an artist member of the Bristol Savages in 1990. He was born in Bristol and attended the Bristol Cathedral School. He studied art at the Gloucester College of Art and at the Royal College of Art. He was an art master and became Head of Art at Churchill Comprehensive School. He exhibited at the Annual Exhibition in 1990 and 1991, mainly watercolours of architectural subjects. He also exhibited at the RWA throughout the 1990’s. (R.S.B) |
