Kenneth Panter was born in Cardiff in 1920. He was an architect and a member of the Staff of the Welsh Board of Advanced Technology. He moved to Bristol in 1949 to become Head of Architecture at Bristol Technical College, Ashley Down. In 1956 he was elected an Artist Member of the Bristol Savages. He exhibited at the Annual Exhibition from 1957 and also at the Royal West of England Academy, where he was an Associate Member. In 1961 he was President of the Bristol Savages. In 1964 he was appointed Professor of Architecture and Building Technology at the University of Bath. He retired in 1977 and moved to Winifred Cottage, Chideock, Dorset. He died in 1988 (R. S. B.)
